Update Router Firmware
The manufacturers of routers update their router firmware from time to time, sometimes with updates that might speed up your connection. Some router interfaces have an option to update the firmware, some don't. See how to update the router firmware via both ways below.
Method 1: Use Router Interface To Update Firmware
- Find the IP address and login information to login to the router interface
- Search for a Update Firmware, Update, Downloads section or something that sounds similar
- Follow the instruction to update the firmware of the router
Method 2: Manually Download The Firmware
- Visit the official website address of the manufacturer of the router (if you don't know, search it up in a search engine or search it up in the documentation which was included with the router)
- Find a link to the Firmware, Drivers or Downloads section of the website (or something that sounds like it)
- Find the Firmware downloads and follow the instructions to install it
